There are certain behaviors we coach. These are active habits that may or may not be good for us.

Then there are behaviors we allow. These are passive and often far more dangerous.

To illustrate, we may coach ourselves and others to sit up straight, shoulders back, and neck relaxed.

Conversely, we may be completely unaware of how long we’re sitting in general, thereby reinforcing unhealthy habits without knowing it.

It’s that second one that gets most people. Problems we didn’t even know were problems.

That’s why sweating the small stuff is so important. Because it’s the little things that get you. The seemingly harmless, mindless actions that add up over time.
