We Thought We Took The Red Pill. We Were Wrong.

Some will say that the new Matrix movie is missing the original’s magic. They’re wrong. What’s missing is the magic within all of us.

The Matrix was more than bullet-time.

It was style, philosophy, and revolution. It was a movie that took the right question and asked it at the perfect time in history; Red or Blue?

That was its genius. Not that it offered radically new concepts, but that it made us aware of ancient warnings one last time, just before everything changed.

Maybe you weren’t alive, or perhaps you don’t care to remember, but when the original Matrix dropped in 1999, the internet was barely limping along, Youtube was a full five years away, and we wouldn’t have our first iPhone for eight more years.

We were a melting pot of fury, awareness, innovation, and endless potential.

It was one of those times along the span of humanity where we collectively became aware of the fork in the road and got to decide which one to take; The road less traveled or the other one?

Many of us took the red pill.
