Sleep is special.

Hydration is critical.

And everything works better when food is on point.

Still, if there’s one training feature that consistently keeps athletes healthy, it’s this: variety.

Variety is so important to an athlete’s overall well-being that the founder of CrossFit, Coach Greg Glassman, placed it first in CrossFit’s definition.

“Constantly varied, functional movement, at the utmost intensity.”

The question then becomes, what sort of variety are we talking about? And how best can we measure our results?
