One mindset says, “I’m going to do morning mobility, so I don’t hurt tonight.” Another says, “I’m going to do morning mobility to have the best workout possible.”

See the difference?

Another phrasing says, “I will work out because my back hurts when it gets stiff.” Contrast that with, “I’m going to workout so I can lift heavy things.”

The naysayers shout semantics. And for them, that may be true. But for someone in pain and struggling, details matter.

I’m not going to pay for these push-ups tonight, I’m going to reap the rewards of challenging myself.

I won’t cool down with a 10-minute walk because getting in the car after a workout locks me up. I’m going to cool down today so I can train harder tomorrow.
