The Solution To Injury Isn’t to Stop Moving
The better you move, the faster you’ll heal.
Injury doesn’t mean it’s over.
It means alter.
Take your time, pick apart your day, and focus on the simple things first; sleep, hydration, and food.
And maybe things improve.
If not, focus on moving your body better before you start removing things you love to do. During exercise, of course, but also during the rest of the day.
Think of it like a strike zone. When you’re healthy, your strike zone for optimal movement is significant. It doesn’t mean you can get away with murder; it means you can pick up that pencil without paying attention.
But when you’re hurt, your strike zone reduces. And the better you move, the faster you’ll heal. It means you can still pick up that pencil, but now you have to try.
It won’t be like this forever; eventually, your movement strike zone will increase. But until it does, the solution to your injury isn’t move less. It’s move better.
