We’re told not to stare directly at an eclipse. That these rare cosmic occurrences can have long-term ramifications, and influence everything we see thereafter. You might not go blind, but everything else will be dull and spotty by comparison. To bad someone didn’t warn us about John Wick.

Now we’re ruined. We know exactly how good movie fights can be, and it’s all thanks to John Wick for raising the collective standard. Can you imagine trying to hide lackluster fights with old world tricks and shifty camera work now? Ha! I scoff at your laziness. Audiences will demand their money back.

More than just some of the best fight choreography to grace the big screen, however, the John Wick franchise is dripping with mythology and has been since it began in 2014; an Assassin’s hotel, an underground group of hitmen, and best of all, standards and practices like modern Samurai with machine guns. The John Wick franchise isn’t just bringing the best fights in town, it’s bringing a whole new world, exotic, bizarre, and immersive. And yet, after everything the John Wick films have given, I have an issue with the third and most recent film, “John Wick: Parabellum.”

In our latest Wick inspired Wonderland, we catch up with John a few minutes after the second film ended. He’s trying to escape the city before…
