Stop Snacking
If I’m entirely honest, I’m never actually hungry. Just bored.
A meal is a planned amount of healthy calories.
That makes a snack an unexpected healthy intake of calories.
A so-called “cheat meal,” then, is an unhealthy, random collection of calories.
Now that we’ve cleared that up, why might we want to skip snacking altogether?
First, eating makes most folks want to eat more. So the less of it, the better.
Second, while seemingly innocuous, snacking is often a gateway to overeating. A handful of cashews here, some berries there, and boom — an additional five-hundred calories for the day.
Lastly, and maybe this is just me, but avoiding snacking is a win. Is it much in the grand scheme of things? Maybe not. But I’ll take it. Because if I’m entirely honest, I’m never actually hungry. Just bored.
Five Things I do To Stop Snacking
1 Eat enough calories at each meal.
2 Drink enough water.
3 Ingest plenty of salt.
4 Kick back a few sparkling waters when needed and add lemon juice if necessary.
5 And lastly, eat only at the dinner table.
