Some Food Is Just Bad
Once we come to terms with the fact that not all food is created equal, we can take an unbiased look at our menu and ask the important things.
Some foods offer little in the way of quality nutrients. Others are man-made, addictive, full of sugar and fat. And some are just plain poison.
These foods, no matter what, are bad.
For you, that may mean avoiding them altogether. For me, it might mean dabbling on occasion and accepting the outcome.
The problem is when we say things like “there’s no such thing as bad food.” It’s confusing, dangerous, and simply not true.
We could spend time trying to define precisely what “good” is. Or, we can look deeper and ask ourselves, “what’s so broken in me that I can’t accept an ounce of dinner table honesty?”
That’s a start, and it’s not easy. But once we come to terms with the fact that not all food is created equal, we can take an unbiased look at our menu and ask the important things.
