The alarm erupts.
You’re pretty sure it’s the fifth time the world is ending. That, or you just keep hitting snooze.
The floor is different than you remember, somehow full of lava.
Each step thuds like a comet slamming into the surface of the earth.
Not only did it sound like the neighbors were having a party last night, but you had too much caffeine and not enough water the day before.
And the less said about food, the better.
Coffee! The word explodes, nearly conjuring a hot cup into being. Then a question; can someone actually have too much caffeine?
Chocolaty steam tempts you into drinking before it’s safe. You fall for it, of course, and accept the consequences. You do it again because screw your stupid taste buds.
