Eliminate all unnecessary ingredients
We eat to escape.
We eat to forget. We eat to celebrate. We eat when we’re bored, happy, sad, and mad.
Food is culture. Food is comfort. Food is fuel. And so, so much more.
And that’s fine. Until we want to make a change. Then we see those empty calories, mindless trips to the fridge, and birthday cakes with buddies as the obstacles they really are.
Simple says, stop all that. And simple is right. But simple isn’t easy.
So we start planning a better way. A path that takes us away from who we are to the person we want to be.
That’s when things get even more complicated. Enter the world of “healthy eating.”
First, “healthy” is dangerous.
Too many humans have usurped the word “healthy” and obliterated its meaning. Then they created systems, supplements, and serpentine paths to reinforce their definition.
