There’s an old Indian story about sandals, and it goes like this.

A man decides to make a great journey but thorns cover the earth. He can choose to pave a road, or make sandals. Paving focuses on the world. The uncontrollable. Making sandals focuses on self. The controllable.

Are you spending time paving roads when you could be making sandals? Do you wait expectantly for the world to give you a path while others say screw it and climb over you?
