Is that last 5% worth the sacrifice?
Know where you’re going.

Then, go 95% of the way there and take inventory.
Why not all the way? Because the last 5% takes twice as much effort as the 95%.
Want to lose fifty pounds of fat? Great. Lose 45 lb., then ask yourself, “Is that last 5% worth the sacrifice?”
If the answer is easy, a resounding, emphatic yes, then proceed. Lose the last few pounds, edit the book again, and slather on another coat of paint.
Keep going.
But if your voice quivers, you’ve been struggling, and the return clearly isn’t worth the investment, then you’ve made it.
Stop.
Revel in victory. Enjoy the momentum.
