How I Use Myfitnesspal To Get Lean
MFP is a contract I make with my future self. One I’m unwilling to break.
Thinking of Myfitnesspal as a food diary is backwards.
I don’t want to look back on what I did do so much as look forward to what I’m going to do.
In this way, MFP is a contract I make with my future self. One I’m unwilling to break.
That’s why I get the easy stuff out of the way first and set my goals.
Be it lose weight, gain muscle, perform better, or get healthy. Whatever I decide is right for me, I choose a target before shooting.
From there, I calculate how many calories I need each day.
Let’s say I want to burn fat. Cool, I multiply twelve by my body weight. If I want to maintain, I multiply my body weight by fifteen, and finally, 18 if I want to gain.
These numbers aren’t perfect calculations; more like starting points for me to toy with.
