Bland Is Better: Band Assisted Cossack: My Go-To Meal Of Choice
When I ate ultra-delicious foods, I craved them and hated everything else.
McDonalds was my favorite. Wendy’s was a close second because fries dipped in Frosty, obviously. In a pinch, I’d even eat Subway.
Not the best menu growing up; I’ll give you that. Sad part is, that was only dinner.
Add in a mess of miniature Snickers, Bagel Bites, Mountain Dew, and mint chocolate chip ice creme, and that about sums up my favorite food groups until I was twenty.
I’d like to say I found bodybuilding and instantly corrected my wrong ways, but that wasn’t how it worked.
I struggled and still do.
It’s hard to skip excessive calories, flavor, texture — all the things that make ultra-processed foods appealing. Especially to someone who lived his first two decades assuming joy came from a paper bag and pizza was both breakfast and dinner approved.
