Between Now And The New Year, You Will Make More Than 8,000 Decisions About Food

And you won’t even notice most of them.

We are creatures of habit in the purest sense, existing primarily on auto-pilot. A hodgepodge of actions, obsessions, addictions, and excuses.

That’s great. Mostly.

If you were aware of every little choice you made, you’d probably go nuts. But it’s also challenging. Especially when the holidays hit, and you sink into old habits, familiar choices, and dangerous excuses.

“I deserve it.”

“I’ll only eat a bite.”

“I just need it to relax.”

“I’ll get back on track next year.”

These are casual reinforcements, sacrifices of character if you will, that enable us to repeat the same behavior year after year until we finally stop caring.

That’s the scary part. Not that we’ll make thousands of decisions about food between now and 2022, but by the time we get there, we might not care about our
