Are You A Fit For CrossFit?

What is it that makes CrossFit work for some, but not all? Are there some people who just aren’t fit for CrossFit?

For every person who loves CrossFit, there are a dozen who don’t.

Those who claim CrossFit is dangerous. That they know a guy who threw out his back and a girl who busted her shoulder. Or that CrossFit just doesn’t work — just pomp and circumstance when compared to other training programs.

Many of these detractors have committed their lives to other strength and conditioning methods, never giving CrossFit an honest go. And in a way, you have to respect their loyalty.

Others, however, legitimately put in the work. They did squats until they couldn’t sit … or stand … or walk. They burpeed until they blacked out. They even bought all the latest workout gear. And still, they have nothing to show for it today. Besides a closet full of debt and sadness, of course.

So what gives. What is it that makes CrossFit work for some, but not all? Are there some people who just aren’t fit for CrossFit, or do we keep stepping on the same landmines that prevent us from moving forward? Mistakes that guarantee we’re wasting our time with CrossFit.
