Imagine taking your bike out for a spin. Not a pedal-pedal bike, either — vroom vroom bike.

Of course, you ride it like you stole it because why else would you have a bike capable of going to the moon and back in seconds?

Once you’ve had your fill of adrenaline and the death-defying dance ends, you drop your bike in the yard until next time.

See what I’m getting at?

Will your bike perform just as well next time? Probably. What about a month later? How bout a year with no cooldown, maintenance, or shelter?

It’s easy to see the storm growing on the horizon, from a general lack of spunk to all-out dysfunction. It’s hard on the bike just like it’s hard on the body when we rush into fitness, ramp up the RPMs, and take off immediately to the next task. The next open road. The next adrenaline spike.
